Are you a Temporary Works Coordinator with experience supporting civil engineering works on Network Rail infrastructure?
Do you have a strong understanding of temporary works coordination, working closely with design teams and site delivery teams to ensure works are carried out safely and compliantly?
Location: Leiston, Suffolk (Sizewell C Rail Scheme)
Rate: £450/day - Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12-month contract
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours / week between 8:00am - 5:00pm
This is an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Works Coordinator to join a major rail infrastructure project supporting the delivery of the Sizewell C Rail Scheme.
Working as part of the Principal Contractor team, you'll coordinate temporary works across a range of civil engineering and track activities, acting as the interface between the design and construction teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring temporary works are planned, reviewed and delivered safely while supporting the wider project team throughout construction.
The project includes a variety of temporary works associated with permanent civils and rail infrastructure, including form work, scaffolding, trench support and fencing installations.
This role would suit someone with a civil engineering background who has progressed into Temporary Works Coordination and enjoys working closely with site teams to safely deliver complex infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
·Previous experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator on Network Rail civil engineering projects
·Valid CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification
·PTS
·Good understanding of temporary works procedures and BS5975
·Experience working closely with construction and design teams
·CSCS Card
·HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
·Coordinate temporary works across civils and rail construction activities
·Act as the key interface between the design team and construction delivery teams
·Manage the Temporary Works Register and monitor temporary works throughout the project lifecycle
·Review and coordinate temporary works design briefs and ensure designs are delivered in line with programme requirements
·Ensure temporary works designs are implemented safely and in accordance with BS5975 procedures
·Carry out inspections and assurance checks on temporary works installations
·Support site teams with temporary works planning, sequencing and technical guidance
·Coordinate with Temporary Works Supervisors and wider project stakeholders
·Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and project procedures
·Support construction teams with work package plans, method statements and risk management
