  • Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards and company procedures.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and design teams.

  • Represent the engineering team at client and project meetings.

  • Oversee the preparation and production of design deliverables, including calculations, drawings, technical reports and risk assessments.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A relevant engineering qualification at Level 6 or Level 7, supported by appropriate industry experience.

  • Experience in construction engineering services and temporary works design.

  • Experience leading engineering project delivery and managing workloads effectively.

  • The ability to develop practical, safe and technically robust engineering solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and project teams.

  • A commitment to professional development, with Initial Professional Development towards IEng or equivalent through a relevant professional institution, such as the ICE, completed or in progress.

  • A full UK driving licence.

Location and working arrangements

The role is available across the following locations:

Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Plymouth.

Agile working is supported, with the opportunity to work from home for up to 1-2 days per week, depending on project and business requirements.

The standard working week is 40 hours, with some flexibility available around working hours.

What's on offer?

  • The opportunity to work on complex construction and major infrastructure projects.

  • A varied and technically challenging engineering workload.

  • Agile and flexible working arrangements.
