Tenancy Support Officer in Oldham, Greater Manchester

We are recruiting a Tenancy Support Officer to join a well-renowned housing association from early December!

• Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
• Home-based with regular site visits to tenants across the local area.
• A car owner with a full driving licence and business insurance is required.
• Basic DBS required.
• 9-month+ contract.
• Interviews take place in early November with a December start.

Your new role

• You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing and tenancy management service, supporting residents to sustain their tenancies.
• The role will involve managing rent arrears, anti-social behaviour cases, safeguarding concerns, tenancy breaches, complaints and complex neighbourhood issues.
• You will work closely with local authorities, support agencies and safeguarding teams while managing lettings, voids and tenancy sign-ups.
• This is a varied role requiring strong case management skills and a customer-focused approach to supporting vulnerable residents.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, Neighbourhood Officer or similar role.
• You will have a strong understanding of tenancy management, rent arrears, welfare benefits and safeguarding, along with experience handling complex and sensitive cases.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and report-writing skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload.
• A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance are required.
