YourRecruit

Are you a great writer with an eye for detail, strong organisational skills and an interest in tenders, proposals and winning new business?

We are looking for a Tender Administrator to join a growing team in Caterham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detailed information, producing polished documents and bringing together information from different people to create professional, client-focused submissions.

You don't necessarily need to have worked in a dedicated tender role before. Our client is open to candidates with strong transferable experience who can demonstrate excellent written communication, attention to detail and the ability to interpret requirements and turn information into compelling, well-presented documentation.

  • Bid or Tender Coordinator
  • Proposal Coordinator or Executive

  • Commercial Administrator
  • Sales Support Executive
  • Marketing or Communications Executive
  • Document Controller
  • Executive Assistant or Senior Administrator
  • Or another commercial role where writing, research, document production and stakeholder coordination are a key part of your day-to-day work.

Perhaps you have supported tender submissions but your current job title doesn't reflect it. Or maybe you are a strong writer who enjoys taking complex information and turning it into something clear, engaging and professional.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Location: Caterham, Surrey (Must be a driver due to location)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Benefits: Competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Company pension, your birthday off and more!

What will you be doing?

You'll play an important role in coordinating and producing high-quality tender and bid submissions, including:

  • Coordinating EOIs, RFIs, SQs, PQQs and ITTs from initial enquiry through to submission.
  • Reviewing client requirements and ensuring responses are relevant, accurate and tailored.
  • Drafting, editing and proofreading written responses.
  • Gathering information from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the preparation of fee proposals and presentations.
  • Creating and formatting professional documents and simple visuals.
  • Managing submission deadlines and maintaining accurate bid trackers.
  • Keeping standard content, case studies and supporting information up to date.
  • Ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant, professionally presented and submitted on time.
  • Supporting post-tender reviews and feedback.

About you…

Most importantly, you will be someone who takes pride in the quality of their work.

You will have:

  • Excellent written English and strong proofreading/editing skills.
  • The ability to understand detailed information and communicate it clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Confidence communicating with different stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of your work.

Previous tender, bid or proposal experience would be a strong advantage, but it isn't essential if you can demonstrate the right transferable skills.

Experience within construction, engineering, facilities management, property, infrastructure or another project-led environment would also be advantageous.
