Our client is the UK Leading manufacterer of Medical and surgical beds and hoists and mattress mainly for the Ulcer prevention and patient handling space.
We are looking for an Account Manager to work closly with an existing Occupational therapy base to recommend custom made patient solutions,
The role is home / field based covering the above areas so territory management and planning is an inportant part of the role as well as building up and maintaining existing relationships with occupational therapy community.
ROLE PURPOSE
To deliver profitable growth in sales within the designated territory and sectors across all product groups.
The Territory Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales for the Company’s wide portfolio of medical devices, including falls management (FMU) solutions, across an existing customer base in a designated territory with the expectation to rapidly progress new business and customer opportunities.
be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans within territory, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and achieving commercial excellence and success.
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Grow revenue in FMU product sales in the community sector. The postholder will be expected to achieve and exceed KPIs/targets and contribute to significant growth and commercial success.
- Support existing customers with the delivery of clinical assessment visits, onsite training, presentations, study days, and assisting with creative solutions to improve the provision of falls management solutions within their organisations. Develop strong partnership relationships with all current and potential customers.
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims and annual territory plans. Maximise efficiency and productivity, particularly to optimise customer facing activities within designated territory.
- Maintain own specialist product and technical knowledge. A high level of knowledge is required when partnering with specialists in occupational therapy, community equipment services, special schools, care homes and hospices.
- Monitor and report on personal, customer, market and competitor activities and provide relevant forecasts, reports, and information as required directly or within a CRM system. Such requirement may be with little or at times no notice therefore the postholder should be well versed to deliver and meet this requirement at any time.
- Attend exhibitions and events in the UK and overseas.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the area team and support teams to ensure customer quotations, orders and enquiries are managed promptly, accurately, and consistently.
- Ensure own knowledge of company products is up to date.To plan own diary to accommodate product training and ensure line manager is aware of any challenge to attending a priority sales or training event.
- Share knowledge and expertise with all colleagues to contribute to the continued progression of the Company’s provision of excellence.
- Adhere and comply with the Company’s code of conduct, policies, procedures, and ISO standards.

It is the postholders responsibility to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and safe working practices, including environmental awareness, wearing of appropriate PPE and uphold all safe working practices and required behaviours.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Possess suitable and relevant business education to include Sales Training, Presentation Training, Negotiation Training. Postholder will be able to evidence such training has been undertaken in daily activities.
- Demonstratable record of significant success in a commercial/sales customer facing role.
- sales experience and knowledge and understanding of the medical sector in the UK and CRM/forecasting administrative experience.
- Significant experience of selling into the NHS, hospices, Community Equipment Services and Local Authorities.
- IT literate with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor to any audience or individual.
- UK driving licence.
- Enhanced DBS clearance. Company will support with DBS check and clearance.
- knowledge of the company’s products, systems, and services – advantageous but not essential.
