Test House Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Test House Supervisor to lead a specialist production area within a busy engineering environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production leader who enjoys developing teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring operational excellence. You'll play a key role in delivering against safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets while working closely with engineering, quality and maintenance teams.

As Test House Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a production team, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and motivating production teams to achieve daily operational targets
• Driving performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP)
• Monitoring KPIs and implementing improvement plans where required
• Promoting a strong health & safety culture and ensuring safe working practices are followed
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and efficiency
• Managing team performance, training and development
• Working closely with maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Ensuring production data and documentation is accurately recorded
• Supporting technical problem solving and process improvements across the department
• Planning resources to meet production demands and future capacity requirements

We're looking for someone with a strong manufacturing background and previous experience leading teams within an engineering or production environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor or Team Leader role
• A background within engineering, manufacturing, machining or testing environments
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing (preferred)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• A continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Desirable:

• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
• Experience of production cost control
