TIG Welder / Fabricator – PM Shift

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £38,188 – £40,653 per annum including 15% shift uplift
Hours: Monday – Wednesday 1:30pm – 11:30pm, Thursday 1:30pm – 11:00pm (Every Friday off)

Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Aylesbury.

This is a permanent late-shift position suited to a TIG Welder / Fabricator with a strong manufacturing background and experience working from engineering drawings.

TIG Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities

• Carry out fabrication and coded welding work to engineering drawings

• Read and interpret third-angle projection engineering drawings

• Produce welded components to required quality standards

• Carry out MPI and Dye Penetrant inspections where required

• Complete relevant quality checks and report defects

• Record welding and qualification information accurately

• Book and manage jobs using the EPICOR MRP system

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S

• Support continuous improvement and waste-reduction activities

• Ensure all work is completed safely and within required timescales

What We're Looking For

• Confident and experienced TIG Welder

• Minimum 2 years' welding experience within a manufacturing environment

• Strong fabrication experience

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Experience with MPI / Dye Pen inspection would be advantageous

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S

• Strong attention to detail
