Tig Welder

Fortis Recruitment are working with an exciting engineering company based in the Biggin Hill area to recruit a TIG Welder to join their team.  You will be welding and assembling precision components to a high standard according to customer specs.  The company work in highly regulated sectors so the successful TIG welder will need to pass a baseline security check.

The position is Monday – Thursday covering 37.5 hours and starts at 0700 each day. 

Role Responsibilities

• TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel and other exotic materials
• Carry out precision welding using lathes, turntables and semiautomated equipment
• Work from engineering drawings, weld specifications and assembly procedures
• Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm
• Support weld procedure development and thirdparty welding approvals

What we are looking for

• Proven TIG welding experience
• Excellent hand and eye coordination and attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately to procedures, drawings and specs
• A reliable, professional and teamfocused approach

Ideally the TIG welder will have experience with exotic materials and laser welding.
