An established engineering manufacturer in Ferndown is looking to recruit an experienced TIG Welder to join its busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking for stable long-term work within a well-established manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be carrying out high-quality TIG welding on a range of fabricated and engineered components, working from technical drawings and production specifications while maintaining excellent quality standards.
The Role
As a TIG Welder, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- TIG welding to engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Producing high-quality welds to required standards.
- Working with fabricated and engineered components.
- Carrying out self-inspection of completed work.
- Supporting wider manufacturing and production activities where required.
- Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
- Previous experience working as a TIG Welder.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Reliable with a positive approach to teamwork.
- Fabrication experience.
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium or thin gauge materials.
- Background within precision engineering or manufacturing.
- £17.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience.
