Our client is a growing and highly respected manufacturing business based in Tuxford, Nottingham, specialising in the production of high-quality fabricated products. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced TIG Welder & Sheet Metal Worker to join their skilled manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused welder who enjoys precision work and wants to be part of a company that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role
As a TIG Welder & Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality stainless steel and mild steel components, ensuring all work meets exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • TIG welding stainless steel and mild steel components.
  • Producing high quality welds on materials at 1.5mm thickness - essential
  • Fabricating sheet metal components from engineering drawings.
  • Metal polishing and finishing to a high cosmetic standard.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet customer expectations.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.


Skills / Experience required:

  • Proven TIG welding experience
  • Experience welding thin-gauge materials at 1.5mm thickness - essential
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Experience polishing and finishing stainless steel products
  • Experience working within a precision manufacturing environment
