About the role

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Technician to join our team, welding and assembling precision components to high standards and customer specifications.

Role responsibilities

  • TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel and other exotic materials.
  • Carry out precision welding using lathes, turntables and semi-automated equipment.
  • Perform laser welding where required.
  • Work from engineering drawings, weld specifications and assembly procedures.
  • Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm.
  • Work to tight tolerances, including straightness and concentricity requirements.
  • Support weld procedure development and third-party welding approvals.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation and maintain high standards of traceability.
  • Support welding and assembly activities across Production, including occasional off-site work.
  • Maintain and carry out basic checks and calibration of welding equipment and tools.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven TIG welding experience.
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work accurately to procedures, drawings and specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • A reliable, professional and team-focused approach.
  • Basic computer skills.

Experience with precision welding, exotic materials, laser welding or certified welding procedures would be advantageous.

* Working hours: 37.5hrs/week over 4 days; Monday- Wednesday 7am-5 pm and Thursday 7am-4.45pm
