TIG Welder

TIG Welder – £600 per week plus overtime

We are recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join an established Birmingham-based engineering and manufacturing company specialising in sheet metal fabrication, stainless steel fabrications, machine guarding, and bespoke metal components for industrial applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding to a high standard on a range of metal components and fabricated assemblies
• Carry out fabrication and assembly work from drawings and specifications
• Use power tools for cutting, shaping, and preparing materials
• Operate stick welding equipment when required
• Assemble and fabricate metal parts accurately to specification
• Work on bespoke sheet metal fabrications, machine guarding, and industrial components
• Use hand tools safely and effectively for welding and fabrication tasks
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude to identify and resolve basic equipment or production issues
• Carry out measurements and calculations using basic maths skills to ensure accuracy

Requirements

• Proven experience in TIG welding and fabrication
• Ability to weld and fabricate metal components accurately and to a high standard
• Experience using hand tools and power tools within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications
• Successful completion of a welding skills test

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm

39 hours per week plus overtime available.
