Build Extraordinary Homes with Your Hands

Imagine driving past a stunning oak-framed home years from now and being able to say: "I helped build that." At Oakwrights, that's exactly what we do.

We're not a large-scale factory turning out the same thing every day. We design and craft beautiful oak-framed homes and bespoke buildings that stand out for their quality, character and craftsmanship.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Timber Frame Technician to join our workshop team and play a key role in bringing these incredible projects to life.

If you enjoy practical work, love seeing a project come together, and take real pride in doing a job properly, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether you come from a carpentry, joinery, manufacturing, construction, or assembly background, this is an opportunity to develop your skills while working on unique, high-quality projects that you'll see transform into stunning finished buildings.

If you're practical, hands-on, and enjoy creating things to a high standard, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is about creating something tangible and lasting.

Working as part of our skilled production team, you'll:

  • Build timber frame panels that form the structure of our bespoke homes and buildings
  • Read and work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Measure, cut and prepare timber components accurately
  • Assemble panels using hand tools and power tools
  • Work alongside experienced craftspeople who are passionate about quality
  • Help maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment
  • Take pride in producing work that reflects the high standards we're known for

Who We're Looking For

You don't have to be an expert timber framer already.

What matters most is that you're practical, motivated and keen to learn.

You may have experience in:

  • Carpentry
  • Joinery
  • Timber framing
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Fabrication
  • Workshop or assembly environments

You'll also bring:

  • A great work ethic and positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confidence using tools and equipment
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Pride in producing high-quality work
  • A willingness to learn new skills and develop your career

Why Join Oakwrights

When you join us, you're not just taking another production job.

You'll become part of a skilled and supportive team creating beautiful buildings that stand the test of time. Every project is different, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and take genuine pride in what you build.

This is a role where your contribution is visible, valued and appreciated.
