BEAR Scotland is a leading road maintenance and management service provider in Scotland, maintaining and improving Scottish Trunk Roads including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Financial Services team as a Timesheet Finance Analyst. This is a permanent position based at our head office in Perth.

Reporting to the Finance Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's electronic timesheets are accurate (coding and rates), timely and provide trend analyses and reports for managers. Confidence to engage with any employee is important. In addition, you may occasionally be required to support the wider team with other finance tasks, contributing to the smooth running of finance operations.

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Review system timesheets for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Follow up on late submissions and prepare summaries for
  • Maintain accurate records for audit
  • Analyse company data for insights and trends
  • Check for possible fraudulent data
  • Provide occasional support to the Purchase Ledger team and assist with other finance tasks as required.
  • Any other duties associated with the role

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Good Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Diligent, accurate and numerical
  • Comfortable to prioritise and to meet weekly deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Confident to talk and interact with all levels of employees across our 970-workforce consisting of operational and staff roles.
