Tissue Harvesting Technician in Swillington

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a client of ours, a leading Medical Device Company based on the outskirts of Leeds currently looking to recruit a reliable and hands‑on Tissue Harvesting Technician to collect pericardium tissue at approved abattoirs and support the medical device manufacturing process. This is a permanent position to work for a leading international medical device company.

Starting Salary - £27,360 (increase to £29k after probation)

Job Details

• Harvest pericardium tissue following strict work instructions from various suppliers in the UK.
• Maintain safe and clean working environments at all times.
• Support process improvements and R&D activities.
• Handle and store materials safely.
• Complete documentation accurately (GDP/GMP).
• Assist with inventory and production support tasks.
• Perform quality checks on work completed.
• Follow all EHS, Health & Safety and GMP requirements.

Qualifications / Skills

• GCSEs or equivalent.
• Full UK drivers licence.
• Experience in abattoirs (advantageous).
• Experience in tissue sourcing or medical device manufacturing (preferred).
• Knife / scalpel / cutting skills (advantageous)
• Able to work independently off-site and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding of GMP/controlled environments.
