Towing Van Driver in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver based in Bury St Edmunds.

The main function of this role is to provide a professional delivery and collection service to and from customers around Bury St Edmunds.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Flatbed Van and Trailer to deliver & collect equipment to/from customers.
• Basic vehicle maintenance/ensuring road worthiness and safety of vehicle.
• Check equipment against paperwork received from hire desk prior to delivery
• Safe loading/unloading of all equipment and equipment onto/from vehicles (strapping/chaining/roping)
• Tag up damaged machines on return to depot and locate in correct area within depot yard/workshop.
• Where applicable ensure digital Tacho's are used and downloaded in line with current legislation
• Keep workshop and vehicle organised, clean and tidy and assist with general workshop duties as and when required.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Digi Tacho Card
• Must have a Driving License which covers you to drive 7.5 Tonne Vans
• Must have previous experience within a driving role

The hourly rate for this role is £14.75

Hours will be Monday- Friday day shifts, starting between 6am-8am, however you do need to be flexible on hours as the finish time may vary.
