GK Healthcare is recruiting experienced Tracheostomy Nurses for nursing opportunities in Sunderland, UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients with tracheostomies.

• Provide safe and effective tracheostomy care and management.

• Monitor patients' respiratory condition and identify changes promptly.

• Carry out suctioning and other tracheostomy-related clinical procedures within your competence.

• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and care documentation.

• Work collaboratively with doctors, healthcare professionals, families, and support staff.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and escalate concerns when required.

• Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical practice.

Requirements

• Valid NMC Registration

• Right to work in the UK

• Minimum 6 months' nursing experience

• Recent experience in tracheostomy care

• Mandatory Health Training Certificate

• Valid Enhanced DBS

• Strong communication and clinical skills

• Ability to work confidently with patients requiring complex care
