Tractor Driver at MDCV UK, Bodiam, East Sussex

MDCV UK, Vineyards and Winery,  are looking for a Tractor driver who combines rigorous safety habits, deep mechanical awareness, and precision handling.

Key responsibilities 

Our Tractor Drivers are key to the success of the Vineyard and overall company, they are responsible for general farm maintenance and Vineyard machinery operations. This role will also support the care of wild stock and assist with fencing.   

This role involves most vineyard tasks which will include, but is not limited to, weeding, hoeing, grinding roots, leaf stripping, grape picking, bud rubbing, tying down, strimming, trellising, training, fertilizing and mechanical weeding, seeding, conventional and organic spray treatments, ploughing, mulching, cultivating, mowing and pruning the vines. 

One of the most important roles in the year for Tractor Drivers is to operate our harvest machinery to harvest our yield of grapes.   

Essential 

• Have experience in tractor driving. 

• Have a full driving licence. 

• Working a 5 over 7 shift pattern. 

• Flexibility on start and finish times upon request 

• Have your own transport. 

• Work well in a team and be a team player. 

• Have experience of working on a farm. 

• A flexible, can-do attitude and ability to embrace change. 

Desirable 

• Experience and/or interest in vineyard work. 

• PA1 and PA3 certificate. 

• Ideally be relatively local Bodiam Castle area.
