This is an excellent opportunity for someone with builders' merchant or trade counter experience who enjoys working with customers in a fast-paced environment.
As the first point of contact for customers, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service while supporting the day-to-day running of the trade counter.
Your duties will include:
- Serving trade and retail customers at the counter.
- Providing product advice and recommending suitable solutions.
- Processing customer orders and payments accurately.
- Building strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring the trade counter is clean and well presented.
- Handling customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve branch objectives.
- Previous experience working within a builders' merchant, trade counter or similar sales environment.
- Good knowledge of building materials and construction products.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience using tills or point-of-sale systems.
