Traffic Operator

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a pair of Traffic Operators, to join our long standing client based in Southampton.

In this fantastic career opportunity, you'll join the team as a crucial component of the transport team, Responding to reactive haulage requests, supporting drivers, and ensuring a smooth operation.

This role requires heavy communication, as well as a precise attention to detail, as such you'll need to have great written and verbal communication, as well as being organised and precise.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
• Monitor driver schedules and vehicle movements, responding quickly to delays or operational issues.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and maintain service levels.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate transport records, booking information, and operational documentation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or traffic operator role preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of driver hours, vehicle compliance, and transport regulations would be advantageous.

We have two shifts available:

• 8:30-18:00 Monday to Friday
• 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 to £36,00 Depending on Experience
