Trainee Account Manager

A client of ours in the Southend-on-sea area are recruiting a Trainee Account Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.15am - 4.45pm and paying a negotiable salary depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and develop the existing customer portfolio.
  • Identify and develop new customers and prospects.
  • Handle incoming inquiries (phone/email).
  • Qualify customer needs, expectations, and profiles.
  • Understand the decision-making chain and escalate when necessary.
  • Promote and secure the specification of company products.
  • Manage responses to tenders, projects, and quotations.
  • Sell products and secure orders.
  • Ensure commitments are met (delivery time, cost, quality).
  • Build and maintain trusted customer relationships.
  • Maintain the CRM system with customer details.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Trainee Account Manager position:

  • Positive, enthusiastic and driven
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages
  • Experience in using a CRM system
  • An interest within Sales or Account Management
