Our client is looking for a Trainee Assembly Operator to join their busy production team. This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting different areas of the manufacturing process while providing the opportunity to develop a wide range of assembly skills and build a long-term career within the business.

Trainee Assembly Operator Roles and Responsibilities:

• Packing completed assemblies and preparing products for despatch
• Preparing components, including cropping and pre-forming components for selective soldering
• Populating PCBs ready for selective soldering processes
• Breaking PCBs out of panels using the appropriate tools and equipment
• Carrying out mechanical assembly, including fitting PCBs into housings
• Fitting cable assemblies and completing multi-stage box-build assembly
• Operating functional test processes and equipment to test PCBs and completed assemblies
• Following works instructions and established production procedures accurately
• Maintaining a high standard of quality throughout all assembly activities
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and maintained to a high standard

Trainee Assembly Operator Ideal Candidate:

• A keen and reliable individual looking to develop a career within manufacturing
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• The ability to follow written instructions and established processes
• A strong commitment to quality and accuracy
• Good manual dexterity and an interest in practical, hands-on work
• A flexible approach, with the ability to support different areas of production as required
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided

Trainee Assembly Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 07:30 to 16:0037.5 hours per week
• Flexible working hours
