Trainee Computer Assembler | Bournemouth | £13 per hour

Whether you've built your own PC, done some soldering on a hobby project, or enjoy fiddly, intricate work, this could be your next step.

You'll need a steady hand and some basic soldering experience, but full training is given to build on that.

As a Trainee Computer Assembler, you will benefit from:

  • A 4-day working week, giving you a long weekend every week
  • A fixed-term contract for a minimum of 12 months, offering genuine job security
  • Direct employment with the company, not agency-based work
  • Flexible start and finish times to support those using public transport
  • Overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays at 1.5x pay, and Sundays at 2x pay
  • A modern facility less than ten years old
  • Full training provided to build on your existing skills

As a Trainee Computer Assembler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning fine, precise soldering on PCB boards, wires and electronic components
  • Assembling, testing and packing joystick and control assemblies in a flow-line production environment
  • Reading and following technical drawings and work instructions
  • Using mechanical hand tools to complete repeatable, quality-assured builds
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity throughout each shift

As a Trainee Computer Assembler, your experience will include:

  • Some hands-on soldering experience, even at hobby level
  • Building PCs or computers at home
  • Model making or other detailed, fiddly hobby projects
  • Comfort working with small components requiring precision and a steady hand
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • A genuine desire to learn and develop
