Trainee Estimator in Little Town, Warrington

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for a Trainee Estimator on behalf of our client based in Warrington, WA3 AREA.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of quotations for multi-utility domestic and commercial projects under supervision

• Gather and organise technical and commercial information required to support accurate pricing

• Support the production of draft quotations and help ensure they are completed within agreed timescales

• Assist with obtaining points of connection and relevant network information

• Help estimate variations and update pricing as project requirements change.

• Support the formal handover of awarded projects to Design and Project Managers

• Liaise with designers, the Pre-Construction Coordinator, and other internal teams to ensure estimates reflect the latest information

• Assist with communication with clients and utility network operators as directed.

• Work closely with Senior Estimators and the Estimating Manager to learn best practice in multi-utility estimating

• Support quality checks on quotations and learn to identify common errors or missing information

• Develop understanding of pricing strategy, risk, and commercial considerations

• Maintain accurate records of quotations, revisions, and supporting documentation.

With experience and continued development, the Trainee Estimator can progress towards roles such as:

• Estimator

• Senior Estimator

Progression will be based on demonstrated technical and commercial competence, experience, and the ability to work with increasing independence.

Working hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Payrate: Competetive salary
