Are you a Trainee Automotive / Vehicle Mechanic looking to join an established materials handling company that offers excellent product and industry training?

Do you have experience diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and are now looking for a varied field-based position where you will work on a range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment for customers across Northamptonshire?

The company are an established forklift and materials handling specialist based in Northamptonshire, supplying equipment and support services to a wide range of industrial and commercial customers.

As an official distributor for Manitou and Heli forklift trucks, the company provides equipment sales, hire, servicing and maintenance, supported by strong manufacturer relationships and specialist technical expertise.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Engineer to join a specialist materials handling business where you will work independently across customer sites, maintaining and repairing a varied range of forklift trucks.

The Role:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment
• Attend customer sites throughout Northamptonshire to undertake planned and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged or defective components

The Person:

• Trainee Vehicle / Automotive Mechanic
• Full UK Driving License
