Trainee Freight Sales Executive in Grays, Borough of Thurrock

Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for a Trainee Sales Executive to join their office in  Grays.

This is an entry-level position with full on-the-job training provided. The successful candidate will learn and develop skills in the following areas:
•    Understanding the fundamentals of the shipping and logistics industry, including key terminology
•    Learning how to use our operating and quoting systems
•    Communicating with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
•    Preparing quotations for customers and following up on opportunities
•    Developing customer service and relationship management skills
•    Supporting the office and management team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Requirements
•    No previous experience required – college and school leavers are welcome to apply
•    This is a desk-based role working from our office
•    We are looking for someone who:
o    Is confident using Outlook, including composing professional emails, and managing attachments
o    Has good keyboard and typing skills
o    Has a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and internet-based research
o    Has an excellent telephone manner and strong written and spoken English skills
o    Is organised, able to multitask, and has good timekeeping skills
o    Is keen to learn about the shipping and logistics industry and develop a long-term career
