Chase Taylor Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Trainee Garage Door Installer to cover Leeds, Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is practical, hands-on and looking to build a long-term career in installation.
No previous garage door installation experience is required, as full training will be provided.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning how to install high-quality residential roller doors while developing your technical and customer service skills.
The Role
- Assist with the installation of residential roller doors and associated products.
- Learn installation techniques from experienced engineers.
- Complete installation and remedial work to a high standard.
- Provide excellent customer service when working in customers' homes.
- Work alongside Sales and Survey teams to ensure projects are completed smoothly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Complete installation paperwork accurately.
- Attend structured training and development sessions.
- Travel across Leeds, Sheffield and surrounding areas, with some wider travel when required.
About You
We are more interested in your attitude and willingness to learn than previous experience.
You will ideally be:
- Practical and confident using basic hand tools.
- Keen to learn a skilled trade.
- Reliable, hardworking and proactive.
- Comfortable working in customers' homes.
- Friendly with good communication skills.
- Customer focused and professional.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and happy to travel.
Experience
Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, assembly, mechanical work, fitting or another hands-on trade would be beneficial but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence is desirable, as the role involves travelling between customer sites.
Package
- £27,500 basic salary
- Performance bonus
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
