JOB DETAILS

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. As the position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, applicants are required to disclose all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings that are not protected under the Exceptions Order 1975.

We are looking for a Trainee IT & Print Engineer to join our team and develop a career within IT, print technology and technical services. This is a varied, hands-on role that offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals whilst gaining valuable technical skills and industry-recognised training.

No previous engineering experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in technology.

What you will be doing:

• Preparing and configuring printers and other devices before customer installation
• Delivering and installing equipment across the Isle of Man
• Supporting toner and consumables management for customers
• Assisting with the preparation and deployment of laptops and Apple devices
• Receiving, checking and organising stock within the warehouse
• Supporting inventory control and stocktake activities
• Learning our service desk and ticket management systems
• Providing excellent customer service both on-site and over the phone

Typical working hours are a 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A keen interest in IT and technology
• Good practical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driving licence
