What You'll Do:
Join a growing materials processing business and begin your engineering career within a busy, hands-on environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll receive full training while developing the skills needed to become a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer.
- Assist with routine inspections across plant and workshop areas
- Support planned preventative maintenance activities on a range of processing equipment
- Learn how to diagnose faults and assist with breakdown repairs
- Gain hands-on experience working on conveyors, screening equipment, and other plant machinery
- Help maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards across site
- Work from maintenance schedules and engineering job sheets
- Learn and follow permit systems, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Develop your understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Work closely with experienced engineers who will mentor and support your development
What You'll Bring:
- A genuine interest in engineering and maintenance
- A relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or college-based engineering studies
- A practical mindset and willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to working safely
- Previous experience in manufacturing, automotive, construction, agriculture, plant maintenance, or engineering environments would be advantageous but is not essential
- A desire to build a long-term career within engineering
