The Role
As a Trainee Pension Advisor, you will be responsible for engaging prospective customers, discussing their current pension arrangements and identifying opportunities for a free pension review.
You will work in a target-driven, high-volume sales environment, booking qualified appointments for Financial Advisers while developing your understanding of pensions, financial services and regulated advice.
Key Responsibilities for Trainee Insurance Advisor:
- Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective customers each day.
- Discuss existing pension arrangements and identify suitable opportunities for a free pension review.
- Build rapport with customers, understand their circumstances and explain the value of speaking with a Financial Adviser.
- Handle objections confidently and convert warm and cold leads into qualified appointments.
- Book high-quality appointments for Financial Advisers, ensuring all relevant information is captured accurately.
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity notes using internal systems.
- Work towards individual and team performance targets.
- Develop your knowledge of pensions, financial services and the advice process while progressing through funded professional qualifications.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a sales role, ideally within a high-volume outbound, telesales or target-driven environment.
- A proven ability to handle objections, build rapport and convert leads.
- Previous experience within regulated financial services would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, confidence on the phone and a professional approach with customers.
