Peabody is seeking a compassionate and motivated Trainee Recovery Worker to support people living in specialist housing services who are working towards recovery from substance use.
This is a structured development opportunity, providing training and hands-on experience to help you progress into a qualified Recovery Worker role within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers with housing, health, finances and daily living.
- Encourage engagement with recovery and treatment services.
- Build positive, trusting relationships and motivate individuals to achieve their goals.
- Help develop person-centred recovery plans.
- Support case management alongside experienced Recovery Workers.
- Follow safeguarding and risk management procedures.
About You
- Passionate about supporting people to make positive changes.
- Strong communication and basic IT skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Resilient, empathetic and willing to learn.
- Experience supporting vulnerable people, transferable skills, or an interest in recovery services is desirable.

Important Information
- Full-time role working a 24/7 rota.
- Shifts include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and nights.
- Progression to Recovery Worker after 12 months, subject to successful completion of the traineeship.
