We are currently recruiting for the position of Trainee Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a reputable commercial vehicle dealership in Swansea. Job Title: Trainee Service Advisor

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
  • Once trained, requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:00am-1:00pm), paid at time and a half
Duties of the Trainee Service Advisor:
  • Capture all customer details and vehicle faults upon first contact
  • Take telephone bookings and accurately input into workshop systems
  • Raise job cards and ensure all relevant documentation is complete
  • Keep customers updated on vehicle repair status
  • Enter and update customer information within the database
  • Hand over vehicles to customers, explaining repair details comprehensively
  • Monitor repair progress to meet delivery schedules
  • Actively promote and sell aftersales services, including service contracts
  • Discuss and process payments with customers
  • Book vehicles into the workshop to optimise workflow
  • Advise customers on warranties and service requirements
  • Explain vehicle inspection and MOT requirements
  • Arrange schedules for MOT and vehicle inspections
Requirements of the Trainee Service Advisor:
  • Strong Customer Service and communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Excellent organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and DMS systems (experience with Kerridge/ADP is advantageous)
  • Previous experience within the automotive trade is preferable but not essential
  • Motivated to learn and adapt to dealership processes
  • Full clean UK driving licence with minimal points
