Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading engineering manufacturer.

The Successful Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and associated compressed air products at customer sites across the North West, with occasional travel to Preston for training and parts collection.

The Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience or knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electrical fault finding and systems troubleshooting or a mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar. Full product training provided.

Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer Role
  • To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics and fault finding on compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers and other compressed air products.
  • Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Working at customer sites throughout the North West, with occasional travel to Preston for training and parts collection.
Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer Requirements
  • Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry Level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience preferred.
  • Mechanical or electrical qualification such as apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
  • Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields, with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
  • Flexibility to travel across the North West, with occasional travel to Preston for training and parts collection.
