Salary: £33,000 – £36,000

About the Role:
We are looking for an engaging and driven Employability Trainer / Coach to design and deliver practical, high-impact employability programmes that support individuals into sustainable employment.
You will combine training delivery with coaching, helping participants build confidence, develop job-ready skills and successfully progress into work.
This role goes beyond classroom delivery, it’s about creating real change, supporting individuals facing barriers, and achieving meaningful job outcomes.
This role will support delivery across our existing programmes in Walsall and Birmingham as part of our wider delivery team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Deliver engaging employability training
- Deliver interactive workshops on CV writing, interviews, job search, workplace and digital skills
- Ensure sessions are practical, activity-based and aligned to real job opportunities
- Adapt delivery to suit different learning styles and starting points
- Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Use coaching techniques to help individuals overcome low confidence and setbacks
- Support long-term unemployed individuals to re-engage with work
- Complete initial assessments and create realistic action plans
- Deliver 1:1 and group coaching tailored to individual needs
- Support participants to apply for live vacancies
- Deliver mock interviews and provide structured feedback
- Focus on sustained employment outcomes, not just course completion
- Run CV and application workshops
- Support tailoring applications to job descriptions and ATS systems
- Build interview confidence using practical techniques
- Partner with Progression Coaches and Employer Engagement teams
- Align delivery with employer needs and live vacancies
- Share participant progress and challenges
- Support with confidence, motivation, employment gaps and digital skills
- Signpost additional support where needed
- Keep accurate learner records and documentation
- Ensure delivery meets contractual and quality standards
- Experience delivering employability training (group and 1:1)
- Experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment
- Proven success in achieving job or progression outcomes
- Experience delivering CV, application and interview support
- Strong coaching and mentoring ability (not just teaching)
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals with low confidence
- Confident delivering interactive, practical sessions
- Strong knowledge of CV writing, interviews and job search strategies
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Empathetic, patient and non-judgemental
- Energetic and engaging delivery style
- Resilient and solution-focused
- Organised with strong time management
- Level 3 teaching or assessment qualification (e.g. PTTLS) – essential or working towards
- Level 3 Advice & Guidance – desirable
