We're supporting Porvair in Fareham who are looking to recruit a Training Coordinator to support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of training across their manufacturing operations.
What’s the role all about?
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Training Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring employees are trained, competent and confident in their roles.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, HSE and HR teams, you'll coordinate training activities across the site, support onboarding, develop training programmes and help create a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key responsibilities
Training Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate production training across manufacturing operations
- Support onboarding, cross-training and skills development programmes
- Work with Production Managers, Team Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to identify training needs
- Plan and schedule training activities to minimise disruption to production
- Ensure new starters and employees moving roles receive appropriate training and support
- Maintain training records, competence sign-offs and skills matrices
Training Programme Development
- Develop and standardise training materials and assessment documentation
- Review and improve existing training programmes and delivery methods
- Ensure training requirements are identified and implemented ahead of process changes
- Analyse training data and feedback to identify improvement opportunities
- Support competence management and workforce development initiatives
Train the Trainer Programme
- Develop and deliver internal Train the Trainer programmes
- Coach and support internal trainers and team leaders
- Promote consistent and effective training delivery methods
- Monitor trainer effectiveness and provide coaching and feedback
Business & HR Support
- Support wider organisational learning and development initiatives
- Assist HR with training needs analysis and development programmes
- Support company values, employee engagement and capability development
- Provide training reports and updates to management teams
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience coordinating, delivering or supporting training within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of training records, competence assessments and skills matrices
- Experience creating and maintaining training documentation
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Good Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to engage and influence people at all levels of the business
Desirable
- Train the Trainer qualification
- CIPD, Learning & Development or Coaching qualification
- Experience implementing training frameworks or competence programmes
- Experience within AS9100, ISO9001 or other regulated manufacturing environments
- First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Marshal or workplace trainer certifications
