Michael Page are delighted to partner with a multi-site organisation to appoint for a Training Manager to join a busy HR team.

This role can offer hybrid working - circa 4 days onsite and 1 home

The role will be Nottingham based with occasional travel (circa 1/month to other sites UK wide)

Description

Reporting to a Head of HR and working closely with both operational and HR stakeholders, the role of Training Manager will take full responsibility for the full L&D life-cycle for a wide range of industrial/front-line stakeholders.

You will be responsible for all operational, technical, compliance training including health & safety as well as management and leadership development.

This busy and varied role will include but not limited to:

  • Develop a training strategy aligned to safety, legal compliance, operational performance, customer service and growth.
  • Maintain the company training matrix
  • Work with operations, SHEQ, HR and functional leaders to establish training needs
  • Maintain accurate training records to support with workforce planning and succession planning
  • Set role-based competence standards and practical sign-off for critical roles
  • Strengthen on-boarding training programs
  • Measure and evaluate training impacts
  • Design and deliver management and leadership training
  • Lead early careers activity, including apprenticeships, vocational pathways and provider relationships

Profile

Ideal applicants for this role will have proven experiences in a similar Training Manager/L&D role within a relevant industrial sector such as manufacturing/logistics or other operational/industrial/high-risk settings

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £55000 pa
