The Opportunity
They are looking for an experienced Transfer Agency Project Manager to support the onboarding of a significant new client across the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the UK onboarding activity while also supporting wider programme workstreams as priorities and timelines evolve.
Being offered on a 12 month contract you will be expected to work from the London office 4 days a week, 1 day working from home. There will be some travel to Manchester and possibly Luxembourg.
This role requires a strong understanding of Transfer Agency operations combined with project and onboarding experience. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, operational teams and clients to help define the Target Operating Model, coordinate onboarding activities and contribute to the successful implementation of the programme.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing ambiguity and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders and clients from an early stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a large-scale Transfer Agency client onboarding programme across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work with stakeholders and the client to help define and document the Target Operating Model for the new relationship.
- Analyse operational processes and documentation from a Transfer Agency perspective, identifying impacts, dependencies and requirements.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring actions, milestones and deliverables remain on track.
- Support planning and execution of Model Office testing and other operational readiness activities.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies and actions, escalating where appropriate.
- Prepare project documentation, status updates and governance materials.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Build effective relationships with operational teams, project stakeholders and clients.
- Support onboarding activities across the UK workstream and provide assistance to Luxembourg and German workstreams as required.
- Contribute to the development of reporting, interfaces, operational processes and service models.
- Ensure project governance standards and controls are maintained throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Essential Experience
- Transfer Agency experience gained within Asset Management, Fund Administration, Custody or Financial Services.
- Strong end-to-end understanding of Transfer Agency operations.
- Experience supporting onboarding, migration, implementation or change programmes.
- Project management within operational or client change environments.
- Experience working directly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and operational models.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
