Transfer Station Operative (Operations)

Our client is looking for a Transfer Station Operative who is committed to push for genuine change and bring the clients ambition of Ecological Transformation to life in Birstall, Leeds. This will be to help them to work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.

Duties: ● Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy
● Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times
● Operate the necessary plant equipment involved in the handling, sorting and
transferring of waste
● Assisting the Operations manager in day to day running of site operations

Essential requirements: ● FLT license
● Good communication skills
● Be able to work as part of a team
● Follow instructions, policies and procedures

Desirable: ● Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab licence
● Good communication skills
● Be able to work as part of a team
● Reversing assistant experience

Working hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00 to 16:00
5-month initial contract until December 2026
