We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transformation Change Manager to join a large public sector organisation in South London, supporting an ambitious organisation-wide transformation programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a major transformation initiative, supporting significant changes to how the organisation operates, delivers services and engages with its employees and local communities.

The programme aims to create a more people-focused, community-led, digital-first and financially sustainable organisation.

The Role

As Transformation Change Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring employees are engaged, supported and brought along on the organisation's transformation journey.

Working closely with senior leadership, programme managers and stakeholders across multiple directorates, you will develop and deliver creative engagement strategies, support cultural change and help embed new ways of working.

This is a highly visible role requiring someone who can operate at all levels of an organisation, influence senior stakeholders and develop innovative approaches to employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate organisational change and employee engagement activity across the organisation.

  • Develop creative communication and engagement strategies to support the transformation programme.

  • Identify, develop and support Change Champions across all directorates.

  • Establish and manage a Staff Reference Panel to gather feedback and provide organisational insight.

  • Work closely with senior leaders, directors and programme managers to support the implementation of transformation initiatives.

  • Utilise staff pulse surveys and feedback mechanisms to monitor morale, engagement and organisational sentiment.

  • Identify resistance to change and develop strategies to address concerns and improve engagement.

  • Deliver engagement activities through directorate forums, staff networks, workshops and informal employee gatherings.

  • Support cultural transformation and embed new ways of working.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in Change Management, Organisational Development or Transformation.

  • Experience supporting or delivering large-scale organisational change programmes.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

  • Previous experience working within Local Government or the wider public sector.

  • Experience working with senior leadership teams, directors and operational managers.

  • Creative and adaptable approach, with the ability to identify new ways of engaging employees and overcoming resistance to change.
