We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sales & Transport Coordinator to provide maternity cover within their busy Sales & Transport department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, confident using Microsoft Office and spreadsheets, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where communication and attention to detail are essential.
The RoleWorking closely with the Sales Manager, Operations and Factory teams, you will provide essential support to the existing Sales & Transport team. You will be responsible for coordinating customer orders, sales administration and transport arrangements to ensure products are delivered to customers efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain daily sales plans.
- Collate daily actual weights by grower and maintain the sales master sheet.
- Take and process customer orders.
- Enter orders onto the Niche system and update the sales plan.
- Maintain and update frozen stock records.
- Log despatch note information accurately.
- Print invoices from the Niche system and check them against the sales book.
- Complete end-of-day stock checks and advise customers of any shortages.
- Run relevant reports from the Niche system.
- Arrange transport using both company drivers and third-party hauliers, ensuring deliveries are arranged in the most cost-effective way.
- Coordinate the transport of live birds into the plant to support the smooth running of the factory.
- Liaise with external cold stores regarding the booking of frozen loads in and out, ensuring timely uplift and delivery requirements are met.
- Communicate sales and transport issues to the relevant internal teams.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and other administrative systems within the Sales & Transport department.
- Work closely with colleagues across Sales, Operations and Factory teams to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel/spreadsheets.
