We are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator to join a growing and established business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover and supporting both the Commercial and Transport teams.
This is a varied and responsible administrative position, ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident communicating with colleagues and customers. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day administrative and transport processes.
There is also the potential for the position to become permanent following the maternity cover period, for the right candidate.
Working Hours & Benefits
- 12-month fixed-term contract providing maternity cover.
- Potential permanent opportunity following the fixed-term period.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Bi-weekly Saturday cover, with limited hours.
- £28,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process transport invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Manage collection and delivery documentation.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Commercial team.
- Complete data entry and order management using the company ERP system — full training will be provided.
- Provide holiday cover across the wider team when required.
- Assist with general office administration and ad-hoc tasks.
- Ensure records and documentation are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Commercial and Transport functions.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Professional, reliable and accountable.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicating both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- IT literate and confident learning new systems.
- A positive and collaborative team player.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Proactive, with a willingness to take ownership of their responsibilities.
Experience working within an administrative, transport, logistics or commercial environment would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
