Hours: Days 4 on 4 off (0600-1800)

Up to £30,000 per annum DOE

The Role

The Transport Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Transport department. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely movement of freight throughout the supply chain. Working on the day shift, the Transport Coordinator will manage multiple priorities, requiring strong organisational skills and effective planning abilities to help maintain smooth transport operations. 

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure compliance and safety regulations are met
  • Brief and debrief drivers
  • Coordinate transport activities
  • Plan and update TIMS for Tesco deliveries
  • Arrange consumable collections
  • Speak with despatch nightly to arrange collections and deliveries
  • Ensure drivers are given the correct paperwork and vehicle
  • Ensure driver boxes are kept up to date
  • Liaise with vehicle technicians  
  • Collate with agency regarding hours of work/timesheets  

What we want from you?

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, including Excel
  • Knowledge of driver and vehicle legislation
