The Transport Operations Supervisor is responsible for the effective day-to-day management and coordination of the transport department's daily workload using the company's fleet of vehicles. The post holder will take a senior operational role in planning, co-ordinating and monitoring all domestic movements from initial instruction through to successful completion, ensuring that all movements are managed efficiently, safely, cost-effectively and in accordance with customer requirements, company
procedures and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The role will act as a senior point of contact for customers, drivers, hauliers, suppliers and internal departments, taking ownership of operational issues and ensuring that appropriate solutions are identified and implemented promptly. They will also provide support and guidance to other members of the Transport Operations team, and provide cover for the Transport Manager where necessary.

Location Heathrow Mon to Fri Salary £35k 

Duties Include:

Take responsibility for the effective day-to-day co-ordination and management of the company's domestic movements across the UK.
● Review and process movement instructions, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and complete.
● Plan and organise collections and deliveries in accordance with customer requirements, agreed schedules, available capacity and operational priorities.
● Co-ordinate the allocation of company drivers, vehicles and external transport providers as appropriate.
● Ensure all movement instructions are communicated accurately and efficiently to drivers and transport providers.
● Monitor movements throughout the day and proactively manage potential delays, disruptions or changes.
● Maintain oversight of outstanding, in-progress and completed movements.
