About the Opportunity
Are you a skilled transport planner or coordinator looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a major industry leader? We are partnering with a premier UK logistics and warehousing specialist based right in the heart of South Cheshire. Operating a modern fleet of over 150 vehicles, our client is a dominant force in ambient grocery distribution, servicing some of the biggest names in retail and food manufacturing.
We are looking for a sharp, commercially minded Transport Planner to join their busy traffic office. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to take ownership of efficient, large-scale fleet operations, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Route Optimisation: Plan and map out daily collection and delivery schedules to maximize cost-efficiency and ensure strict delivery windows are met.

Resource & Fleet Management: Allocate vehicles and drivers effectively while maintaining bulletproof compliance with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations.

Operational Problem Solving: Act as the central point of contact, liaising smoothly between drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to handle real-time road challenges.

System Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date, precise transport management records and compliance logs.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience working in a fast-paced transport planning, traffic office, or logistics coordination environment.

Solid understanding of UK geography and a strong grasp of Working Time Regulations and Drivers' Hours compliance.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Strong IT literacy and familiarity with modern Transport Management Systems (TMS).
