Transport Planner in Swadlincote, Derbyshire

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client in Swadlincote. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with drivers and customers, and able to keep things running smoothly in a busy logistics environment.

• Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules
• Allocating drivers and vehicles to deliveries and collections
• Monitoring deliveries and responding to any delays or changes
• Communicating with drivers throughout the shift
• Liaising with customers regarding delivery times and updates
• Updating transport systems and maintaining accurate records
• Dealing with transport queries and resolving day-to-day issues
• Supporting the wider transport team to ensure an efficient operation

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or planning would be beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confident using computers and transport/administration systems
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable and proactive approach to work

• £13.10 per hour
• 6:00am – 2:00pm shift
