Transport Planner in Swadlincote, Derbyshire

Salary: £13.10 per hour
Contract: Temporary on going with possibility to go perm

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client in Swadlincote.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, confident communicating with drivers and customers, and able to keep things running smoothly in a busy transport environment.

• Planning and scheduling daily deliveries and collections
• Coordinating drivers and transport schedules
• Communicating with drivers and customers via phone and email
• Monitoring deliveries and dealing with any changes or delays
• Updating spreadsheets and transport systems
• Completing general transport administration
• Supporting the smooth running of the transport operation

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, transport planning or scheduling would be beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confident using computers, spreadsheets and transport/administration systems
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive and professional approach to work
• Confident communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues

• £13.10 per hour
• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Full-time hours
