Are you a Tree Inspector looking for your next role?
This is an exciting opportunity for an arboricultural professional to play a key role in managing and protecting the Council's extensive tree stock, while helping to create safe, attractive and sustainable spaces for local communities. Working across Walsall, you will use your specialist knowledge of arboriculture, tree inspection and urban forestry to assess trees, manage risk, provide expert advice and support the delivery of the Council's Urban Forestry Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular inspections and surveys of the Council's tree stock, including individual trees, groups and woodlands.
- Assess tree condition and risk, making informed decisions about appropriate management and prioritisation of works.
- Maintain and manage the Council's tree inventory and associated records.
- Make recommendations for tree works in accordance with relevant legislation, national standards and Council policies.
- Assist with the management of the Council's Tree Risk Management programme.
Key Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence, including Driver CPC.
- Level 3 Tree Inspection Certificate in Arboriculture, or an equivalent qualification.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in an environmental discipline such as horticulture, green spaces or arboriculture.
- IOSH accreditation, or the ability to attain this.
