Composite Trim Supervisor - Night Shift

Location: Wellingborough

Hours Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am

Salary £44928 - £49,920 DOE including shift allowance

We are looking for an experienced Composite Trim Supervisor to lead a Night Shift team for our client based in Wellingborough.at our Wellingborough site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled composites professional with strong leadership ability to oversee daily operations, uphold quality standards, and support the continued development of our Trim department.

Key Responsibilities

As the supervisor you be responsible for leading and, supervising and supporting the Trim team to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This will involve the following

  • Allocate workloads, monitor progress, and manage workflow throughout the shift.
  • Trim, bond, and assemble carbon fibre components using engineering drawings and build manuals when required.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance skills, performance, and productivity.
  • Champion a strong health & safety culture and ensure full compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support performance management, attendance monitoring, and effective shift handovers.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate clearly with management.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates need to have proven experience in composite trimming within a high‑quality manufacturing environment as well as the following

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and build manuals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support a team in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Confident problem‑solver with sound decision‑making skills.
  • Calm under pressure and able to meet demanding production deadlines.
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
