Tunnel Team Supervisor

Our client, a dynamic company within agriculture and fruit production, has an exciting new opportunity for a Tunnel Team Supervisor to join their team in Suffolk on a full-time, permanent basis due to increased demand and continued business growth. This role is perfect for someone with proven experience in building and maintaining polytunnels.
 
The successful Tunnel Team Supervisor should have:
·Proven experience building and maintaining polytunnels for soft fruits
·Strong leadership or supervisory experience within an outdoor or agricultural environment
·Good practical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
·Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
·A proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
 
In this role, the Tunnel Team Supervisor will be responsible for:
·Supervising the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of polytunnels
·Ensuring all tunnels are maintained to a high standard and ready for each harvest season
·Organising and overseeing the daily workload of the tunnel team
·Carrying out repairs and identifying maintenance requirements
·Intensive polytunnel management
·Working to harvest schedules, and monitoring weather conditions.
·Effectively & professionally managing the tunnel team to meet the required standard and targets
·Ensuring health & safety compliance, including correct use of PPE and reporting concerns
 
Our client is offering the successful Tunnel Team Supervisor a salary in the region of £28,000 - £30,000 plus benefits including holiday allowance, training and development opportunities, career progression, and a supportive working environment.
