About Remedy Tutors
Remedy Tutors is expanding its network of tutors and mentors across Derbyshire to support children and young people who need additional help with their education.
We work with learners who may have gaps in their education, low attendance, additional learning needs or difficulties engaging with mainstream education.
We're looking for reliable, patient and engaging tutors who can deliver tailored 1:1 tuition and help young people rebuild confidence, develop skills and make meaningful progress.
The opportunities
Depending on your experience and availability, placements may include:
-
Core subjects: English, Maths and Science, including GCSE preparation.
-
Primary and secondary tuition: Supporting learners across KS1–KS4.
-
Post-16 learning: Functional Skills, GCSE resits and wider educational support.
-
SEND and SEMH: Supporting learners with additional needs, anxiety, emotional regulation or barriers to learning.
-
Mentoring: Helping young people develop confidence, motivation and positive learning habits.
Tuition may take place in the learner's home, library, or other community setting, school or online, depending on the placement. Face-to-face support is often preferred, so the ability to travel locally is beneficial.
